Marietta, Georgia –
Through the efforts of Ken Vanderpoel and Atlanta International Umpires, 6-4-3 DP Baseball was honored to serve as host to the Spartak Baseball Club from Moscow, Russia, last week (April 4-7). Last week's visit marked the second time in as many years that Team Spartak has visited 6-4-3. The student-athletes (ages 8-12 primarily) and coaches with Team Spartak had a full week of baseball as well as cultural and social activities coordinated by Atlanta International Umpires. During Team Spartak’s stay in Atlanta, 6-4-3 was privileged to have the opportunity to train their youth players as participants in our annual Spring Break Skills Camp and work with two older players in bullpen side sessions. Team Spartak last trained with 6-4-3 in March of 2015 and it was a treat to see them again last week in Marietta. 6-4-3 is grateful to Ken Vanderpoel and Atlanta International Umpires for creating yet another opportunity for us to share the great game of baseball with our friends from Moscow.
