6-4-3 DP Baseball & The 6-4-3 Foundation Take Another Swing At Breast Cancer

Marietta, Georgia -

For the seventh year in a row to celebrate Mother's Day, the many teams of 6-4-3 DP Baseball raised awareness for breast cancer care, prevention and research.  The tradition remains simple - we honor mothers, bring awareness to an issue familiar to many, and raise money for cancer research by having players and parents alike sport pink jerseys, shirts, hats, and stirrups over this meaningful weekend.  Like in recent years, 100% percent of the proceeds generated through the sale of the Mother’s Day apparel will be donated by The 6-4-3 Foundation to It’s The Journey, Inc. in support of breast cancer care, prevention and research.

This year (2016), The 6-4-3 Foundation raised nearly $4,000 for the cause.  Since The 6-4-3 Foundation was created in 2013, the organization has raised over $10,900 in an effort to strike out breast cancer (in addition to the $14,700 raised and donated by 6-4-3 teams prior to the foundation's existence).  No matter how you count the contributions ($25,600 grand total), it is a wonderful and worthy legacy in the making...and a meaningful way to celebrate our wonderful mothers each year!

A special thanks goes to the talented duo of DJ and Marla Huyck for once again spearheading and coordinating this special and meaningful 6-4-3 Mother’s Day awareness and fundraising campaign.  6-4-3 would also like to thank its many teams, players, coaches and parents who participated in this weekend's worthy awareness and fundraising drive.
