COACHES COMMENTS:
Devan is a very talented young man that can help his team in a multitude of ways. Devan is a left-handed pitcher, and plays 1B and OF. On the mound, Devan throws a lot of strikes and mixes speeds very well. He uses both sides of the plate and has a great feel for the bump. He throws a very effective changeup that he can pitch off of which makes his fastball more deceiving. He can throw his breaking ball in any count whether for a strike and also using it as an out pitch. At 1B, he works the bag very well and has great hands. Devan plays a good OF while taking good angles and getting good first steps. At the plate, he is simply a barrel finder. He keeps it very simple but just barrels up baseballs. He hits to all fields with pop, and is a very tough out at the plate. As Devan gets stronger, he will be a very solid addition to a college team.
