Rees is a 2017 RHP out of North Springs High School. Rees is a very good athlete overall, evident by his accolades and interest drawn as a quarterback for North Springs. As a pitcher, Rees possess a clean arm action that allows his already good fastball to play up. This also allows him to create good arm side run on his two-seam fastball, which is a pitch that will jam hitters on the inner half. His breaking ball is sharp, with good depth and he can miss bats in the strike zone with it. His third pitch is a split/change, and it’s development has been rapid, and he is gaining tons of confidence with it. Rees fields his positon well and has good mound presence, as one would expect from a quarterback. Rees development over the next summer will be fun to watch, and he will help out any program he chooses to attend.
Rees has committed to play college baseball and football at Washington University in St. Louis.
