6-4-3 DP Baseball alums making noise in the professional ranks

Marietta, Georgia -

6-4-3 DP Baseball has recently been making some noise in the minor league ranks.  As of right now, 6-4-3 has eleven players playing professional baseball. In its short life, 6-4-3 has had 21 players taken in the MLB draft.  We are still waiting on the first 6-4-3 alum to crack an MLB roster.  That will hopefully change soon, and, for now, it is a competition between a few of them.  Below are our current professional baseball players and some information on each.

Kent Emanuel is currently playing for the Fresno Grizzlies, which is the Houston Astros AAA affiliate.  Kent is in his 6th minor league season for the Astros and is currently 2-0 with a 1.07 ERA over three starts this season.  Kent has put in some serious time in the minors and remains one of 6-4-3’s all-time greats.

Connor Johnstone, who was a part of 6-4-3’s first ever 15U team in 2010 as well as 6-4-3’s only WWBA National Championship Team (see picture), is currently in AA Mississippi for the hometown Atlanta Braves.   On the season, Connor has thrown in ten innings over five games and has 8 Ks and a 2.7 ERA to date.  As a strike throwing machine, we hope Connor’s progression brings him to Atlanta very soon!

Drew Waters seems like he was playing at 6-4-3 just a couple weeks ago.  Drew was drafted in the second round by the Atlanta Braves in 2017 and is already in his third level of minor league ball.  Drew is an exceptionally confident, hard-working, switch-hitting outfielder who hopes to continue with the early success he has created.  Drew is currently in Rome, Georgia, roaming the outfield for the Braves A team.

Sean Guenther is currently a starting, left-handed pitcher with the Jupiter Hammerheads (Florida Marlins advanced A affiliate). Sean pitched at Notre Dame after his very successful time at 6-4-3.  Over three starts in the 2018 season, Sean has tallied six strikeouts and zero walks.

Charlie Madden is a catcher with the Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox A affiliate).  Charlie caught at Mercer University after his very successful time at 6-4-3.  After a stint on the disabled list to start 2018, Charlie is hitting .375 on the young season.

Jonathan Pryor is an outfielder with the Washington Nationals farm system after a successful career at Wake Forest University.   Jonathon is currently playing for the National’s A team, the Auburn Doubledays, and is hitting .256.

Dylan Kelly, a former 6-4-3 catcher, will be a part of the Sioux City Explorers this season. Dylan has been a career .295 hitter over his professional career.

In addition to the former 6-4-3 players listed above, Jackson Lourie (Rhodes College) and Matt Rowland (Pope High School) are both right-handed pitchers in the Atlanta Braves farm system.  Sam Fuller (Whitefield Academy) who was drafted out of high school last year is a right-handed pitcher in the Angels farm system.  Jim Voyles (Florida State University) is a right-handed pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals farm system.

The entire coaching and office staffs within 6-4-3 are incredibly proud of Kent, Connor, Drew, Sean, Charlie, Jonathan, Dylan, Jackson, Matt, Sam and Jim.  We wish our current professional ball players the best of luck and best of health this season!
